James' Preschool program promotes the development of each child
within the scope of his or her capabilities and interests. We
provide an environment of Christian love, understanding, and
acceptance. Our Preschool program is licensed by the Virginia
Department of Social Services. We offer the following programs

Our safe and child-friendly classrooms offer materials
for advancing skills in listening, fine and gross motor movement,
science, reading readiness, and math readiness. We encourage and
provide opportunities for play as an important means of building
skills, promoting healthy self-images, and instilling a love of
learning.
Our loving and experienced educators present
a rich, stimulating curriculum in a welcoming and engaging
environment, and help children see the connections in learning
and experiences. They are keenly aware of developmental hallmarks
and milestones, and work in partnership with families to ensure
the child's abilities and gifts are nurtured and developed.
Children are treated as individuals with great strengths;
their opinions, actions, and thoughts are respected and valued.
