Saint James' Extended Day program provides before- and after-school care for SJES students. Extended Day options include full-time care, certain-day-only care and drop-in care. All drop-in arrangements require advance notice and are granted based on space availability.
Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Families of currently enrolled students email auxprograms@saintjamesepiscopalschool.org with questions and availability. Registration and payment are made through the Camp Brain platform.
Rise & Shine
Do you need to bring your child to school early? Check out Rise & Shine! Rise & Shine is our morning care program for students that offers a comfortable transition from home to school where children play in the playroom and talk with friends. It begins at 7:30am Monday through Friday on the first day of school. Rise & Shine is:
- For scheduled care from 7:30am until class starts is $15 per day for preschoolers and $10 per day for elementary students.
- For scheduled care from 8:00am until class starts is $10 per day for preschoolers.
- Drop-in care is $15 per day.
Lunch Bunch
Do you need an after-school program for your 2YO or 3YO preschool student? Join Lunch Bunch! Lunch Bunch provides children with an opportunity to mix and interact, build friendships, eat lunch together, and play games inside and outside. Lunch Bunch starts after preschool 2x2 and 3YO class ends and ends at 1:15pm. Students bring their own lunch/snacks. Lunch Bunch is $15 per day for scheduled care or $20 for drop-in care.
Extended Afternoon
Extended Afternoon is our extended day for preschoolers that starts after Lunch Bunch for 2x2 and 3YO students or after class for 4YO and Kindergarten students. Extended Afternoon consists of nap time, free play time, and a minimum of 20 minutes devoted to reading and various activities, including creative movement, cooking, table games, and outdoor team games. Scheduled pick-up times are 2:15pm or 3:15pm. Extended Afternoon for preschool 2YO, 3YO and 4YO students is $20 per day for scheduled care or $25 for drop-in care. Extended Afternoon for Kindergarten students is held from 2:15pm - 3:15pm and costs $15 per day for scheduled care or $20 for drop-in care.
Aftercare
Aftercare is from 3:15pm until 5:00pm for elementary students and preschoolers. Aftercare comprises homework time, free play, and a minimum of 20 minutes devoted to reading and various activities including creative movement, cooking, table games, and outdoor team games. A snack is provided. Aftercare for all students is $20 per day for scheduled care or $25 for drop-in care.
