Sometimes the most important lessons happen outside of the classroom. In addition to our core academic program, we offer programs to support our mission of developing well-rounded students.  These programs take place in-school and out-of-school, providing hands-on and real world experiences that enrich classroom learning and expand horizons.

Saint James' Extended Day program provides before- and after-school care for SJES students. Each Extended Day program is monitored by an SJES teacher and/or aide. Extended Day options include full-time care, certain-day only care and drop-in care.  All drop-in arrangements require advance notice and are granted based on space availability.

Space is limited and on a first-come first-serve basis. Families of currently enrolled students should call or text Coordinator Cortney Arnold at 540-860-0681 or via email at extendedday@saintjamesepiscopalschool.org with questions and availability. These payments may be added to your FACTS account. Please contact the business office via email or call 540-347-3855 x219 for rates.

While creating fun, exciting and adventurous experiences for children, the mission of the Saint James’ Episcopal School Summer Camp program is to provide opportunities where children can also discover and learn. Our preschool summer program is designed for rising preschool and kindergarten children, ages 3 - 5. All children attending must be potty-trained and able to use the restroom facilities independently. Our elementary summer program is designed for rising first through sixth graders, ages 6-11. Before and after camp is offered when our minimum is met. The camp schedule, available late winter, includes dates, times, location, cost and age requirement by camp.  Read more and register online here >
